2023 Kia Stinger GT-Line Review
Performance
The Base 2023 Kia Stinger GT-Line is powered by a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of peak torque. The handling is smooth, and the ride is comfortable. All thanks to the Stinger’s balanced chassis and finely-tuned suspension. The fuel efficiency is 21-22/29-32 mpg for the city and highway.
The Kia Stinger GT2 has a 3.3-litre twin-turbocharged V-6 engine that gives us 368 horsepower of peak power and 376 lb-ft of peak torque. GT2 gets both RWD and AWD as the base model. The mileage for the car is 17-18/24-25 mpg for city and highway, respectively.
Interior
The Stinger’s interior is luxurious, has comfortable seating and exceptional artistry and mastery of the craft. In your dash, you get a navigation-enabled 10.25-inch touchscreen which can run both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto. In addition, you also get a remote start with climate control, find my car, stolen vehicle recovery, and the Kia Access app. There is nothing to complain about the audio system as you get premium Harman Kardon. The leather interior is standard, which can be upgraded to Nappa leather seat trim.
Safety
The 2023 Kia Stinger has a 5-star overall crash test rating. The 5-star is for the rollover tests and the side, whereas the four-star rating came for the frontal crash test. Smart Cruise Control feature with Stop & Go helps to maintain a particular distance from the vehicle in front by adjusting the driving speed. The Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist helps by providing visual and audio alerts when it detects pedestrians or cyclists or while turning on junctions. It also applies brakes automatically when it detects obstruction ahead. The Surround View Monitor gives a 360-degree view that helps the driver while manoeuvring the car. The directional lighting, a problem while driving at night, is handled by “Low Beam Assist-Dynamic”.
Often the collision happens while reversing the car. But, not to worry, as “Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist” helps alert the driver or even help apply brakes when it detects a possible collision.
